Itinerary
This is a sample route. The final journey can be adjusted based on your flight dates, hotel preference, walking level, and travel style.
Days 1–2: Thimphu Cultural Discovery
Arrive in Bhutan and transfer to Thimphu, the country’s peaceful capital. After settling into your lodge, begin exploring Bhutan’s cultural heritage through visits to museums, traditional craft centres, weaving spaces, local landmarks, and places that introduce the Bhutanese way of life.
On the second day, continue with a deeper cultural experience. You may hike to Cheri Goemba, visit historic temples, explore traditional arts, or learn about Bhutanese astrology and spiritual practices. The day is designed to combine light activity, cultural learning, and quiet moments in the valley.
Days 3–4: Punakha Valley, Temples, and Dzongs
Travel from Thimphu to Punakha, stopping along the way at historic landmarks and the scenic Dochula Pass, known for its memorial chortens and mountain views on clear days. Continue into Punakha Valley, where warmer weather, rivers, rice fields, and traditional villages create a peaceful change of scenery.
During your time in Pun, cultural learning, and quiet moments in the valley.
Day 5: Paro Heritage and Cultural Experiences
Return to Paro and begin exploring one of Bhutan’s most important cultural valleys. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the country’s oldest Buddhist temples, before continuing to Paro Dzong and the National Museum.

Day 6: Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Begin the day with the unforgettable hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Bhutan’s most famous spiritual landmark. Built dramatically on a cliffside above Paro Valley, this sacred site is one of the most meaningful experiences in the kingdom.
